Zum zweiten Mal können wir euch eine interessante Vollmondveranstaltung präsentieren:
Wir modellieren die Zukunft von Open Moon!
Wir simulieren mit “Rigs of Rods”, ob der c-rove auf der Mondoberfläche auch wirklich fährt.
Das Modeler-Forum Berlin-Brandenburg zeigt uns mit dem CONSIDEO-MODELER, welchen Erfolg das Projekt haben wird.
Der c-rove Prototyp wird mit Lego-Mindstorms weiter Gestalt annehmen. Alle Veranstaltungen sind zum Mitmachen.
Der Eintritt ist frei.

Patrick Sbrzesny ist jetzt im Core Team
Das Open Moon Team wurde unerwartet verstärkt!
Patrick ist aus Stuttgart nach Berlin gezogen um dabei zu sein.
Er berät als Geschäftsführer der mindXchange Ltd. größere Firmen beim Einsatz kollaborativer Methoden.
Für Open Moon wird er das Team mit den bei mindXchange Ltd. entwickelten Open Innovation Methoden und Werkzeugen beraten:

Wheel assemblage is ready now!

The new spokes are attached to the hub of the wheel.
Constructioneer Benone is showing the complete new wheel system with modified axis. Please note the extended spoke on the left side, giving a hint how ductile the rim is.
The perfect length of spokes still has to be investigated.

Good news from the c-base construction site
We´ve got a fix construction date on every thursday evening in c-base headquarter, Berlin. If there is interest, please get involved and ask for Vara, Benny or Mars.
Our rover´s wheel construction is in progress. The next generation of spokes are prepared to get installed in the wheel. The spokes will be prolongeable or reducible by remote control, which enables the c-rove to navigate on unknown surface. For proof of concept the prototype is build with Lego Mindstorms System.
In organisational background we are preparing multiplicator events for potential sponsoring.

c-base Open Moon Group enters Google Lunar X-Prize!
Berlin, 1st of October 2009
Today the c-base Open Moon Group (COM Group) announces its entrance into the race to the moon, hosted by the Google Lunar X-Prize (GLXP). The COM Group is an association of small and medium enterprises and space enthusiasts to win the $20 million first prize of the GLXP. The COM Group consists of scientists and business consultants, who started to mobilize the german web community as well as the political, economical and technological elite in Berlin and beyond for the idea to return to the Moon and thereby definitely open Space for private economic exploration as well as for all mankind. The COM Group is based in the c-base, a well known hacker-space in Berlin.
The GLXP is a competition started in 2007, similar to the Ansari X-Prize, for the advancement of private Space exploration. Host is once again the X-Prize Foundation of Peter Diamandis. The purse is a total of $30 million, sponsored by Google Inc. First Prize is to win by completing the following tasks: land safely on the moon, make 500 meters on the surface and send the so called mooncast (c.f. GLXP website) back to a station on earth.
The COM Group has committed itself to put together bit by bit the links of the technological chain which are necessary to accomplish the mission. Therefore the COM Group has three major tasks: project management, fund-raising and propaganda.
We believe that the Google Lunar X Prize is an excellent way to motivate companies and Space-enthusiasts of all kind by showing the enormous potentials and implications of private Space exploration. It’s time to accomplish the mission which began 40 years ago with the first landing on the Moon. The door into Space was pushed wide open in those days by the thousands who worked for the Apollo program. Now we want to join the trek back.
Although this is a race, and as such a spirit of competition and rivalry is anticipated, due to the exceptional goals we are all committed to, we feel like in a very special community of like-minded people. Therefore the COM Group wishes all the best and good luck to all the other competitors. We hope that we can embrace you all one day here in Berlin.

Stimmt ab wo unser MoonRover auf dem Mond landen wird!
Wir schlagen euch vier Landeplätze vor. Sie liegen alle auf der nördlichen Hemisphere in Äquatornähe. Achtet auf die kleinen gelben Stecknadelpins!
Da wir Filmaufnahmen machen, müssen wir an einem Mondtag -der 14,5 Erdentage dauert- landen, sonst bekommt unser c-rover keine Photonen und zu sehen gibt es auch nichts.
Unser lunares Landefenster öffnet sich zwischen dem 6. und 16. September 2012.

Der Landeplatz muss diese Kriterien erfüllen:
-ebene Fläche mit wenig exponierten Gebilden (Kraterränder & Berge)
-bevorzugt in den Maren: ruhige geologische Struktur mit verdichtbarem Untergrund ohne Reliefüberraschungen

Dear Commoonity!
We are going to come back with regular announcements after shaping our coreteam.
English is the competition´s language. Please let us announce and discuss in English here in the near future.
Das Open Moon Team hat lange nichts mehr von sich hören lassen. Dies soll sich ändern. Wir wollen euch wieder wöchentlich informieren. Es ist auch einiges passiert, jedoch leider nicht in der Geschwindigkeit, die wir angestrebt und uns erhofft hatten.
Nachdem sich bei den Treffen in der c-base in der Anfangsphase ein stabiles Kernteam herausgebildet hatte, haben wir uns aus der c-base zurückgezogen, um uns näher kennen zu lernen, uns zu formieren, Rollen im Team zu vergeben und Aufgaben zu verteilen.

Alle Gebühren sind bezahlt, alle eingeforderten Dokumente sind eingereicht. Wir warten jetzt gemeinsam.
Zur Zeit nehmen wir Kontakt zu potentiellen Sponsoren und deren Netzwerken auf. Wir machen Fortschritte: Die Kontakte werden konkreter. An der Hardware wird bereits gebastelt: Der Prototyp des c-rove wird gebaut. Die potentiellen lunaren Landeplätze werden von Thomas lokalisiert, die Flugbahn kann dann von Carsten berechnet werden.
Das Open Moon Team wird bis auf weiteres wieder am Donnerstagabend auf der c-base
sein. Die Commoonity ist herzlich eingeladen!
